Event Set-up Lead — 3rd Shift

Location: Union South, Madison, WI

Shift: Tuesday–Saturday 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM

Pay: $18.00/hour + $2.50 night differential + $0.80 weekend differential

This frontline position coordinates and executes event setups for conferences, meetings, and special events at Union South. The Event Setup Lead will guide and train student workers and ensure smooth execution of events.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site event set-up and clean-up
• Guide and train student workers on proper procedures
• Stock supplies and organize storage closets
• Greet guests, assist with registration, answer questions
• Assist with scheduling logistics and securing vendor resources
• Gather, enter, and maintain accurate event data and records

Requirements:

• Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, stoop, and climb for majority of shift
• Ability to lift and move supplies up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Ability to move, push, and stack furniture often in excess of 100 lbs
• Exceptional customer service skills
