NDIS and Medicare Officer - Temporary - Macquarie Park
NextSense has an exciting opportunity for a NDIS and Medicare Officer to join our team at Macquarie Park. This is a temporary (12 months) part-time role, working 15 hours per week across 3 days and reporting directly to the NDIS & Medicare Manager.

The NDIS and Medicare Support Officer will ensure that NDIS and Medicare funding information is fully available for internal teams so they can share relevant information with clients throughout their journey
- Validate Service Agreements and manage service bookings.
- Manage enquiries and problem solving for issues related to NDIS Service Agreements, appointment claiming and service bookings.
- Resolve NDIS problems through standard processes and ensure these processes are well documented to support capacity building of the wider NextSense Services team.
- Exercise initiative in the application of established NDIS requirements, procedures, and processes used for NDIS services.
- Act as a NDIS subject matter expert by providing information, training & support across NextSense.

To be successful in this role you'll need to demonstrate you meet the following selection criteria.
Required qualifications, skills or experience:
- An understanding of the NDIS, particularly therapy provision
- The ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide variety of people including staff, clients and families.
- Experience working with and/or across government departments
- Experience in working with children and families with a disability
- Strong administration, organisational skills
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to understand the needs behind a request and to clearly explain, in writing, both the compliance requirements and the steps required to complete a process.
- a verified Working With Children Check, Criminal Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Preferred qualifications, skills or experience:
- Certificate IV or Diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
